Being a volunteer leader is not a role for the faint of heart. It can be completely time consuming, frustrating, and challenging. But also incredibly rewarding and fulfilling.
This morning as I get ready to attend the LMA Northeast Region Board transition meeting, I wanted to take a moment to thank Michelle Murray for her leadership over this year which has not been without its share of opportunities (the word I’ll use to put a happy spin on it :-).
Which is why Michelle is today’s #FollowFriday feature!
By day, Michelle is Business Development Director, Strategic Projects at Shearman & Sterling LLP, based in the New York city office. She has an impressive CV, chock full of experience across the financial services industry, including 14 years in institutional fixed income sales on a trading desk on Wall Street.
Michelle is skilled in business development, relationship building, change management, competitive intelligence implementation, internal and external communications, digital marketing and team building.
On the LMA side of things, Michelle oversaw the planning and execution of the first in-person LMA Northeast conference since COVID, which happened to be one of the highest attended conferences we’ve done in this region!!
I’m glad to call Michelle a friend and I’m grateful to her for the countless hours she dedicated to LMA this year.
Meet Michelle! She’s a great volunteer leader!
