For those of you following along at home…you’ve likely recognized a pattern to my #FollowFriday features by now. I fall deeply in friend love with the people I’ve been lucky enough to meet along this journey and at some point I can’t hold it in anymore and I have to tell the world how amazing they are.
That’s how I feel about today’s #FollowFriday feature, Jahna Barbar. Jahna is a Senior Manager, Business Development at Foley Hoag LLP in Boston, and a long-time LMA volunteer leader.
I knew OF Jahna long before I had the opportunity to actually connect with her just this year. Mutual friends always told me how great she was, and I saw it first hand when watching her present during LMA Northeast Region webinars.
But…then I actually got to MEET her. And I have to say, reality blew expectation out of the water!!
Jahna is indeed super smart, articulate, and strategic, as many of our mutual connections expressed when they were encouraging me to meet her. And these qualities are all incredible and notable! But what I love about Jahna is a little different.
Jahna is REAL. She tells me like it is. She is direct. She calls out B.S.
In my humble opinion, these qualities are their own love language. There’s nothing better than knowing where you stand with someone. (Seriously.) Or having a conversation with someone who knows what their goals are, and who you have the good fortune to witness going after them.
I’ve quickly become an uber fan of Jahna’s. I appreciate her wisdom and wit, and I’m grateful for her friendship.
So, to the seven of you who might not know her….meet Jahna. She’s a kick ass woman.
