I’d known “about” today’s #FollowFriday for a while before I met her. And I was immediately impressed because of one small thing she did that I thought was masterful.
We were sitting around a boardroom table for a Legal Marketing Association Northeast Chapter meeting and I saw her note the name of each person and their position around the table.
As someone who is notoriously bad at remembering names (I really am listening, I promise, I am just the worst at it though!), I thought this was brilliant and vowed to do it at every in person meeting from that moment forward. (But then COVID…so….)
Meet today’s #FollowFriday feature, my friend Jennifer Simpson Carr.
Jennifer is articulate, composed, and fun to be around. As Director of Strategic Communications for Furia Rubel Communications, she understands the day-to-day pressures and issues that attorneys and business professionals face, and knows that part of our her and her team’s job is to make their clients’ business lives easier and to provide support and resources that they don’t otherwise have in-house.
With a heavy-hitting CV chock full of former law firm positions, Jennifer now leads relationship management with prospective, new, and existing clients. She tracks market and emerging trends and assists the agency and clients with establishing competitive advantage, winning new business, and implementing strategies that impact long-term business objectives.
Much like my own experience when joining LISI, Jennifer had no specific sales experience when she joined Gina @ Furia Rubel. She’s a long-time member of the Legal Marketing Association, a membership organization which she credits with keeping her engaged and fulfilled by the industry we serve.
She is also the producer and a guest host of the agency’s podcast, On Record PR, which features interviews with lawyers, legal business professionals, journalists, C-suite executives, athletes, and other industry leaders to discuss topics that impact their audience both professionally and personally.
Meet my friend Jennifer. She is the real deal.
