Today’s #FollowFriday feature has been such a champion of what I’m putting together with next year’s conference, a community builder, a friend, advocate, and challenger, and I’m grateful above all else to call her friend.
Meet Meghan Davis Hill.
Meghan has worked with an edited for best-selling book authors, an award-winning filmmaker, an author who appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show, and professionals publishing nonfiction books and memoirs. Books that Meghan has edited have been published by Harper Collins, Schwartz & Wade, Simon and Schuster, and other top publishers. Meghan brings a mastery of story and a detail-focused eye for revision to every manuscript.
Meghan began her professional life as an attorney, and the precise nature of legal writing has made her an editor who appreciates the necessity of choosing the right words to communicate layers of meaning. Moreover, she is trained to orchestrate story arcs for both nonfiction and fiction writing that create an emotional connection between author and reader.
But none of these reasons are why I love and appreciate Meghan. (I mean, they help…but they’re not the MAIN reason.)
I love her for her fire, passion, and friendship. As members of the St. Margaret’s school family in our little Mayberry-esque town, we volunteer together, our kids play sports together, and we work together to support our community.
She is bright, articulate, and fun to be around.
Meet Meghan. She’s a woman who is excellent with words.
