I’ve often said I never needed to join a sorority in college because my high school experience was the best sorority to which I could ever belong.

You see, I went to Georgetown Visitation in Washington, D.C., and spent four amazing years matriculating with some of the brightest and best female minds the class of 2000 had to offer.

And that talent wasn’t limited solely to my class. The school has graduated countless amazing women over its nearly 225 year history. Including today’s #FollowFriday feature: Katie Daniels.

This summer I had the honor of participating in Georgetown Visitation’s summer mentor program, where the school paired recent graduates with other graduates who are established in their career and profession, and who can offer career advice and professional guidance.

I was paired with Katie.

Katie might be one of the most intelligent, sweet, articulate, good-natured young women I’ve had the fortune to meet in recent years.

She came prepared to every meeting with specific goals for our time together, questions, and seeking advice. In short: she was a dream to work with. And I am super excited to stay connected!!

A 2017 graduate of Boston College, Katie earned her Bachelor’s in English and Political Science (😍). More recently Katie has settled in New York, where she is currently an Associate – Expert Network at Industry Dive, a leading business journalism company.

Katie is delightful and I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to get to know her this summer!

Meet Katie. She’s a woman who is going places.
